Based on glowing reviews for this one I expected nothing short of legendary, what I got instead was - mediocrity.
I loved the writing, and the plot was decent, although painfully obvious and not that believable. The whole thing just didn't have the spark - I wasn't excited, or wanted to SOLVE the mystery, I just kept reading because it was entertaining (although man, the main character made a LOT of dumb decisions) and quick.
Also, if we can stop brining up hurtful, outdated and untrue stereotypes about certain dog breeds into the books THAT WOULD BE GREAT, thanks. It's 2019 (when the book was published) for crying out loud, educate yourself.
